Water off the drive, away from the house
A drive that holds water is a drive that fails. Puddles freeze, lift blocks and break up tarmac, and water running towards the house ends up at the door, the garage or the air bricks.
We build drainage into every drive and patio we lay: falls set away from the house, ACO channels across the drive where it meets the garage or the door, and soakaways or connections to an existing drain where the water has somewhere to go. Permeable block paving and resin bound let rain soak through the surface itself.
We also fit channels and soakaways on existing drives and patios that flood, without relaying the whole surface where it is not needed.

- Cut in. Cut out the surface along the channel line.
- Install. Set channels on concrete and connect.

What is an ACO drain?
A linear channel with a grate set across a drive or patio. It catches surface water and carries it to a soakaway or drain.
Can you add drainage to my existing drive?
Yes. A channel can be cut into most existing drives and the surface made good around it.
Do I need permeable paving on my front drive?
New front drives over five square metres need to drain within the property. Permeable paving or a soakaway does that, and we plan it into the quote.
Do you lay soakaways?
Yes. Soakaways are one of the services we list on Checkatrade.
Is drainage included in a new driveway quote?
Yes. Falls and drainage are planned into every driveway and patio quote.
