Timber sleepers for beds, edges and steps
Timber sleepers are the quickest way to add height and structure to a garden. A raised bed brings planting up to a comfortable height, a sleeper edge holds back a low bank, and wide sleeper steps make a feature of the change between two patio levels.
We use treated sleepers, set level, fixed together and pinned or concreted so they do not lean or twist. Raised beds are lined so the timber lasts, and sleeper steps are built over a solid base with the patio laid tight against them.

Sleepers suit raised beds and low retaining edges. Higher retaining walls are better built in brick, which we also do.
